Kashan rugs are a type of Persian rug. These are one of the most expensive types of rug woven in Iran. Blue, red and ivory are common colors found in Kashans. Popular designs include the Shah Abbas pattern, vase medallions, stylized floral elements, and large center medallions. They typically have a wool or silk pile woven on a cotton foundation.
