April Rug Highlights

Spring has finally arrived in the Northeast. After a few late winter storms we are enjoying the bright sun and warm weather. With the warmer weather comes more antique rugs on the market, whether they are at yard sales or flea markets. Needless to say Spring is one of my favorite seasons. One of the biggest flea markets in our area, the Brimfield Fair is coming up in May. It is a great source for antique rugs and basically any antique and vintage item you could think of.

Meanwhile we have been picking up some real beauties. These two are not yet listed, they are truly special pieces and I wish I had a spot for both of them in my house!

 Chinese Rugs

Below is a super unusual Caucasian Seichour rug. It measures 3' 4 x 4' 7. With a unique all-over design and attractive highlight colors this rug is a real conversation starter >

A nice narrow Bakhtiari runner is pictured below. This one is 2' 9 x 9' 3 and features a soft ivory field with a blue border. Green, Red and Pink highlights complete the tribal design. This rug is vintage

Last, but definitely not least, a sweet little Persian Kurdistan for your viewing pleasure. The colors in this beauty are bright and eye-catching without being over-bearing. Measuring 2' 10 x 2' 3 it is small enough for a side table to add some character to your space.
