Bergama (Bergamo) rugs are a type of Turkish rug woven in northwest Turkey. They typically have red weft threads with wool foundations and piles. They are woven with the Turkish knot and come in smaller sizes. There are several different types of Bergama rugs including the Yuntdag as well as the Yagcibedir which can be seen below.
Note the red wefts in the weave of the Yagcibedir rug pictured above.
